In this brand new series property guru Sarah Beeny comes to the rescue of homeowners who encounter big problems with their properties.

This is the CSI of property shows. Sarah and her team of experts examine the ravages caused by damp, clogged drains, subsidence, dodgy building work, dry rot, infestation, etc, using special techniques including special cameras that go down drains, thermal imaging, smoke detection, and others used by contemporary professionals.

The investigation team will hand their information and results over to Sarah. She will go through the forensic findings with the homeowners and advise them if she thinks further information or investigation is required. Then, together they will come up with a plan for repair and refurbishment.

The repair, rebuilding and redecorating process is followed with regular site visits by Sarah. On these visits, she will provide homeowners with practical advice and hands-on instruction, encouraging them to save money by doing work themselves, and giving design suggestions on what home improvements to do and how to make their homes as beautiful and safe as they can.

At the end of the programmes, Sarah will visit the finished house and as well as appreciating its visual transformation into a beautiful (in its owners eyes at least) and safe and healthy home, she will confirm that all the problems have been repaired, and give advice on how to maintain the house in the future.
